How You Can Begin to Act On Your Ideas?
For a long time now, I have researched thoroughly to know or understand what has kept people from true success. I strongly needed to do this because since my childhood days right up to days after I graduated from the higher institution, I have desperately desired to be a success.
I have watched on television the success stories of successful people. I have also read in the dailies how some people have recorded great success in their various fields.
The news of the success stories of these FEW people have really gladdened my heart but on the other hand, the news or the sight of the MANY that have struggled to make their marks here on the earth has made me really sad.
I took a decision not to toe the same the line as these MANY. But if I am not following their route, then I must understand the REASON(S) behind their failures to make their marks on this earth.
There is a popular saying which says that ‘’the richest place on earth is the cemetery‘’. A lot of people have died with all they can do buried with them.
Most of these people would obviously have loved to write that book that can make them become best-selling authors or they would have loved to float that company that would have made them so much money and bring them great fame.
Some of them would also probably have loved to bring that idea into being and there after enjoy the gains of doing such.
It is a pity, this has not been so. These people have allowed that great enemy of success called PROCRASTINATION to envelope them.
They have lived a life of some days.
These musings sound familiar with this set of people;
’’Someday, I’ll be rich…’’
‘’Someday, I’ll act on that idea…’’
‘’Someday, I’ll find the right one…’’
‘’Someday, I’ll start that business…’’
“Someday, I will have enough money to…”
But it is a pity, this someday will never happen.
These people have allowed what I called the ‘’POWER-NOT-TO-DO’’ to overpower the “POWER-TO-DO” in their lives.
